 (1) consider to use corrosion medium accumulation In the electric forklift overall structure.Try to try to avoid being in the closed area, or keep closed system ventilation performance and good drainage system.For example the battery electric forklift truck(reach truck) Can open a window ventilated, to keep the motor cooling and ventilation, and you can also open leakage hole or install effusion apparatus at the tank bottom of the battery.
(2) Pay attention to protection in appearance design,avoiding stockpile water and dust. We can learn from the concept from foreign advanced electric forklift truck design, so that we can keep the electric forklift modelling fluent,improving the sense of beauty of the complete set of the electric pallet truck.At the same time,there will never leave any pondings or dirt.
(3) Parts structure need  to facilitate the implementation of the protection technology, when necessary, set up process hole.For example, the fuel tank hole position can let the  spray gun nozzle cover and surface peening processing easily. Before Chemical pretreatment on the workpiece such as protecting upper frame,please open process hole, paying attention to preventing hydrops.

(4)pay attention to the protection of the Exposed workpiece. Electric parts and joint must be arranged in inner side, or add a shield shell.Because the exposed workpiece is very easy corrosion and water approaching,it is good choose to add a shield shell on these parts. For example, inclined hydraulic cylinder, steering hydraulic cylinder piston rod exposed section will need to add a dust cover. It is necessary to add waterproof plug in each exposed process hole or function hole of the exposed process parts.
(5) Pay attention to avoid electric forklift crack corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, electrochemical corrosion. For the inevitable gap structure such as the engine cover tailor-welded gap,please seal it with sealant glue. Different metal connection should be as far as possible to select potential of metal, or use insulation measures to avoid electrochemical corrosion
(6) Consider to choose optimal performance of corrosion resistance materials, such as galvanized sheet, colour film board, composite material, etc. Glass fiber reinforced plastic has advantages of  good process performance , high strength, and low cost.and it can achieve certain insulation and reduce the noise effect together with the insulation pad .It has been widely applied in electric forklift truck engine cover, the battery compartment cover and ordinary shield, etc.
At present most of the application of glass fiber reinforced plastic parts are mainly made of unsaturated polyester resin and alkali-free glass fibe., matching up the steel reinforcement overlying, can get good appearance quality.The largest advantage is that there will not be any weled edge or any spot welding trace,which the paint can not cover it easily.But the disadvantage is that the durability is poor and easy-aging, so only suitable for development and small batch products. For batch big casing class type parts,you’d  better choose engineering plastic instead of glass fiber reinforced plastic, which can get better decorative and durability. The engine cover is impacted too much by the environmental, so it is more reasonable for us to use steel sheet or galvanized sheet at the same time cooperate with coating protection is more reasonable. Electric forklift truck should pay more attention to the application of new material use for reference from automobile industry.
(7) When you are designing the parts,please consider consider the uniform corrosion,try to  choose one or several combination way of corrosion method. The electric forklift commonly use protection method: plating, coating, conversion coating and coating anticorrosive oil, grease, etc.Because of different craft,it will have different anti-corrosion function.For example,one model of pallet truck produced by one domestic enterprise,many axles,melts,bolts and holder are all black coating finishing.Many exposed parts like the hydraulic cylinder are with no coating or paiting finishing,the pallet truck will has corrosion before it leave factory.So after a series of thorough performance request,we can not only improve the rationality of the parts design,but also standard the surface finishing process.At the same time,we have also promoted the improvement of the appearance quality and corrosion function.
